About Us

Picture
The Carers' Council is a registered charity providing support to unpaid carers and family members looking after adults who have mental ill health. We are not accredited professionals, just very experienced volunteers. So take us as you find us.

Our aim is to help you deal with the challenges of being a carer of, or professional working with those with mental health problems. Our own services include a quarterly newsletter and quarterly social meetings, usually with at least one speaker and plenty for you to enjoy. We also organise occasional outings and other activities.

We welcome those who work within the sector to join us.  We very much welcome new members and those who are interested in mental health issues and wish to become more involved.

If you would like to become a member and/or receive our quarterly newsletter please click here

Please note you do not have to be a member in order to attend our Open Meetings.
The Carers Council: Allies in Adult Mental Health have partnered with Nottinghamshire Carers Association. We will be working together to share resources and advocate for carers supporting people with long term mental health conditions.
